An Comhdháil World Irish Dancing Championships 2015 being held at Killarney Convention Centre from 28th March to 4th April 2015.
This World Championship is an annual event that aims to recognise world-wide talent and dedication to one of Ireland’s best loved cultural heritages and past times. With group and solo competitions open to all members of An Comhdháil from the ages of nine upwards, this contest attracts a great deal of industry attention. In excess of 3,000 competitors take part in these Championships each year; these competitors are typically accompanied by an entourage of organisers, teachers, adjudicators, musicians, families, friends, supporters and spectators from 24 branches of An Comhdháil worldwide.
The competition normally takes place over an eight-day period, finishing on Easter Sunday and most families book up to ten nights in the host town as they use the Easter Holiday period as an opportunity to take a family holiday.
